Data we collect

• Email address: to verify your identity, enforce the one-free-song-per-person limit, and let you find your songs.
• Names, ages and stories you enter: solely to write your song lyrics. If your stories concern other people, make sure you may share them.
• Technical data (IP address, anti-bot signals): for security and abuse prevention.
• Payment data: processed exclusively by Stripe; we never access it.

Purposes and legal bases

Your data is processed to perform the service (song creation and delivery, gift page), to secure the site (legitimate interest) and to comply with legal obligations. No data is ever sold or used for advertising.

Processors and transfers

• Cloudflare (USA): hosting of the site, data and audio files.
• Stripe (USA): secure payments.
• Resend (USA): sending verification codes by email.
• DeepSeek (China): writing lyrics from the information you enter. This information is transmitted solely for generation purposes.
• Music generation provider: final lyrics are transmitted to create the song.

Some of these providers are located outside the EU/UK; transfers are limited to what is strictly necessary to provide the service.

Retention

Verification codes expire after 10 minutes. Songs, gift pages and related data are kept while the service is provided, and deleted upon request at contact@melixo.net.

Your rights

Under the GDPR and UK GDPR, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection and portability. Exercise them by writing to contact@melixo.net. You may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority (e.g. the ICO in the UK, the CNIL in France).

Cookies and ad measurement

On your first visit, a banner lets you accept or decline non-essential cookies. Until you accept, no advertising cookie is set: we use Google's Consent Mode v2, set to "denied" by default.

Strictly necessary cookies (always on): anti-bot security (Cloudflare Turnstile) and payment (Stripe, on its own page).

Advertising measurement cookies (only after your consent): we use Google Ads to measure how well our ads perform (conversion tracking), i.e. to know that a visit came from an ad and whether it led to a purchase. This data is used only for that measurement. You can withdraw your consent at any time by clearing your browser cookies.
